Sunrise from Cadillac Mountain

Today marks the 100th anniversary of the U.S. national parks system. Here's a photograph I took last November of a couple standing at the top of Cadillac Mountain inside Acadia National Park at sunrise. It wasn't the best sunrise and it was pretty cold up there to witness on my first trip but it will always be a magical sunrise for me.

Fun fact, from October 7 through March 6 of each year, Cadillac Mountain is the first place to view a sunrise in the United States.

Maine 2015

Family and I head north once a year and usually we end up in Vermont but this year we decided on Maine and we did not regret the decision. Here are some shots from our vacation.
